Information about your rights to the Pregnancy Grant.
|
|
Crown Servants who are posted overseas, should be entitled to the
Health in Pregnancy Grant - a one-off payment over and above any
other benefits - and it is tax free!
As an overseas posted Crown Servant - civil service
and HM forces - the grant is available after the 25th week of pregnancy.
There are a few rules that you need to satisfy in order to receive this
grant during an overseas posting.
|
- You will need to be 25 weeks or more into
your pregnancy.
- You are getting advice from your doctor or
midwife about health during pregnancy.
ALSO
- Immediately before your overseas posting, you
will have been living in the UK - as an ordinary resident. That
means that you were living there - not just visiting.
AND
- If you have a partner who has been posted
abroad, and you have gone to live with them, you are entitled to
the grant, if you meet all the other conditions.
How to Claim
- HM Armed forces from your Forces Medical
centre
- Civil Servants will need to contact the
