The figures below should apply right through until April 2018.

Maternity Allowance

You could get either:

  • £140.98 a week or 90% of your average weekly earnings (whichever is less) for up to 39 weeks
  • £27 a week for up to 14 weeks

Maternity Allowance is paid every 2 or 4 weeks.

Severe Disablement Allowance

Replaced by ESA - Employment Support Allowance

State Retirement Pension - (Pension Rates - This is being updated by week end of 8th September 2015

The full new State Pension will be no less than £159.50 per week - with top up.

Statutory Maternity Pay

Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP) is paid for up to 39 weeks. You get:

  • 90% of your average weekly earnings (before tax) for the first 6 weeks
  • £139.58 or 90% of your average weekly earnings (whichever is lower) for the next 33 weeks
